Dubai has raised its ambitions for the Dubai AI Campus, targeting more than 1,000 specialised AI companies and over 5,000 highly skilled jobs by 2030.
The new targets were approved during the opening of the third Dubai AI Festival on October 26. The campus, located within the Dubai International Financial Centre’s Zabeel District, has already attracted more than 500 AI companies, over AED1 billion ($272M) in investment and more than 2,000 specialised technology jobs, according to the Dubai government.
The festival brought together more than 20 global unicorns, 20 government agencies and ministries, 20 venture capitalists and 20 global enterprises. More than 100 Chinese technology companies also took part, alongside 23 Indian companies at the Bharat Pavilion.
Several AI-related products and initiatives were announced during the event. UAE legal technology company Legaline Platform launched Meta Legal Space, an AI-powered virtual courtroom for law students and legal trainees.
Dubai-based ZWAG AI introduced a Center of Excellence for Linguistic Sovereignty and said its Translation Studio public beta supports more than 2,400 languages. UAE talent platform AIJobsUAE also launched to connect employers with AI specialists.
US-based RiskVantage AI unveiled RiskVantage Negotiate, a contract review and negotiation platform. The company said internal testing showed a 60% reduction in first-draft issues compared with manual review, although the figures have not been independently verified.
