Project Syria 2026 has opened at Damascus’s Exhibition City, bringing together more than 150 local and international companies from 12 countries to explore investment, construction and reconstruction opportunities in Syria.

Organised by the International Fairs and Promotions (IFP) in partnership with Alfa Exhibitions and supported by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, the event focuses on construction materials, equipment, energy solutions and real estate development.

The exhibition and conference includes a business-to-business matchmaking platform, alongside a youth development programme focused on networking, knowledge exchange and professional development. It runs through November 5 in halls 25 and 26, with daily opening hours from 2pm to 9pm.

The programme is designed to connect companies, investors, specialists and policymakers, while showcasing technologies and services relevant to infrastructure and reconstruction. Participating government bodies are also presenting housing and investment projects and outlining local needs.

According to officials quoted by SANA, the event is intended to strengthen public-private and international partnerships, attract investment and technical expertise, and support the development of Syria’s construction-related industries. The head of IFP said the participating companies include firms from countries such as China, France, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.
