A.P. Moller Capital has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Moroccan transportation and logistics company Globex Investissement through its Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II and APM Capital Morocco Fund.
The transaction will create a partnership with Globex founder and CEO Omar El Kadiri, who will remain in his role alongside the company’s existing management team. The acquisition is subject to customary conditions, including merger control clearance from Morocco’s Competition Council.
Globex operates in express delivery, road freight, freight forwarding and customs brokerage, supported by exclusive local licensing agreements. The company said the partnership will support its next phase of growth and strengthen its position in Morocco’s logistics sector.
A.P. Moller Capital also plans to support Globex’s sustainability strategy. According to the announcement, initiatives may include solar-powered hubs, electric vehicles and carbon dioxide reporting tools, alongside stronger ESG governance.
The investment aligns with A.P. Moller Capital’s focus on transportation, logistics and North Africa, while APM Capital Morocco brings a local investment platform to the partnership.
