Bridging the Gap for Local Businesses

The initiative was unveiled at a dedicated forum that brought together key public and private sector players. The goal is to provide companies with early and direct access to market intelligence and the specific requirements of major buyers, strengthening their ability to win contracts.

H.E. Ali Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber, highlighted the program’s strategic importance.

“Procurement Connect reflects Abu Dhabi Chamber’s commitment to building stronger bridges between businesses and the emirate’s leading organisations, enabling the private sector to gain deeper insights into future opportunities and market requirements, while helping companies better prepare for and benefit from them,” he stated.

Inside the Launch: Major Players Outline Priorities

The launch event featured participation from corporate giants Etihad Airways, e& UAE, and ADNOC Group. These organizations presented their future procurement priorities and requirements, giving attendees a clear view of potential opportunities for collaboration on upcoming projects.

The forum served as a platform for direct dialogue between the large entities and the local business community. This allowed companies to ask questions, understand future needs across key economic sectors, and identify specific areas where their services could be a fit.

Empowering SMEs for Competitiveness

A central aim of Procurement Connect is to boost the readiness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). By offering greater visibility into the procurement plans of major organizations, the initiative helps smaller companies plan more effectively and improve their preparedness to bid on upcoming tenders.

This effort aligns with Abu Dhabi’s wider economic vision, which focuses on building a competitive and sustainable economy through private sector empowerment and strategic partnerships.
