Oman has launched ‘Inspire Oman’, a new national initiative aimed at strengthening the Sultanate’s investment profile and showcasing its economic potential to a global audience. The program was unveiled at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) headquarters, signaling a concerted push to attract foreign capital in line with the country’s Vision 2040 goals.

The ‘Inspire Oman’ initiative is not a single campaign but a multi-faceted program designed for maximum impact. Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of the OCCI, outlined a three-part strategy that includes a legacy publication titled ‘Inspire Oman’, a global digital impression campaign, and an international investors summit.
This structured approach aims to create a sustained narrative around Oman’s business environment, moving beyond traditional investment promotion tactics to build a more compelling and data-driven case for the country.
Storytelling as an Investment Tool
A core pillar of the initiative is the focus on storytelling. OCCI officials believe that highlighting the successes of local entrepreneurs, investors, and established companies is one of the most effective ways to build confidence among international investors.
“This multi-layered initiative stems from a firm belief that Omani success stories represent one of the most important strengths of the national economy,” said al Rawas. He added that showcasing these models “contributes to enhancing Oman’s economic standing and reinforcing investors’ confidence in the Omani business environment.”
This sentiment was echoed by Abdul Latif Moideen Kunji, Chairman of the Foreign Investment Committee at OCCI. “Inspire Oman initiative seeks to present a comprehensive picture of the investment environment in the Sultanate of Oman by showcasing economic achievements, highlighting inspiring experiences of entrepreneurs, investors, and national companies, and introducing promising investment opportunities across various economic sectors,” he stated.

The initiative is strategically aligned with Oman Vision 2040, the country’s long-term roadmap for economic diversification and reduced reliance on hydrocarbon revenues.
