Ahlibank has launched the first edition of ahli tamkeen SME Academy, a three-month capacity-building program for 25 Omani entrepreneurs and SME leaders.
The academy brings together participants from several economic sectors and focuses on financial management, access to finance, marketing and digital transformation. Protiviti is delivering the program through practical workshops and one-to-one guidance.
According to the announcement, participants were selected from SME owners who registered their interest. The selection process included individual interviews with Riyada Card holders and non-holders to better understand their business needs and growth challenges.
The program is designed to help participants strengthen business readiness, improve decision-making and respond to changing market conditions. It also creates opportunities for entrepreneurs to share knowledge and identify new growth opportunities.
Ahlibank said the initiative reflects its view that SME growth requires more than financial resources, including the capabilities and confidence to make sound business decisions. The academy forms part of the bank’s broader support for Oman’s SME sector and aligns with the entrepreneurship and private-sector development goals of Oman Vision 2040.
