Robinhood has received authorization from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to introduce its retail investing platform in the Middle East from the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

The authorization covers trading and custody across all 10 DFSA-approved asset classes, including equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds and investment tokens. Robinhood said it plans to launch its product suite in 2027.

The company will establish its regional operations at the DIFC, with Salah Kaddoura serving as Senior Executive Officer and President of Robinhood MENA. He will oversee the local team and the company’s regional expansion.

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said the DIFC expansion would support the company’s ambition to build a global platform for investing in financial assets. Johann Kerbrat, Robinhood’s SVP and GM for Crypto and International, pointed to demand for accessible financial tools among retail investors across MENA.

The move adds Robinhood to the group of international financial technology companies using Dubai as a base for regional growth.
