The Al Ain Future Business Forum showcased young Emirati-led innovations, startup initiatives and training programmes aimed at strengthening the UAE’s investment and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Dovie, founded by UAE University medical student Alia Al Hosni, presented a wearable device designed to continuously monitor vital signs for mothers and fetuses during pregnancy. The device is worn on the abdomen and sends data via Bluetooth to a smartphone app, with plans to eventually connect hospitals directly to the system.
Agritech startup Gharas also took part, presenting a platform that connects local farms with individual and institutional customers without requiring product storage. Co-founder Ayman Al-Dakhili said the company plans to work with farms in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, while using Al Ain as a base for expansion. The forum also helped Gharas explore partnerships in IT, packaging and supply chains, according to the announcement.
ADGM Academy said it graduated nearly 1,000 participants last year through an entrepreneurship programme delivered with the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development. The academy is also planning longer-term training initiatives in Al Ain.
The forum featured other youth ventures, including a custom handmade décor project launched by Abu Dhabi University student Shahad Mohammed in 2024.
