The Pre-Seed Track is designed for early-stage ventures that are currently building and validating their solutions. The Seed Track targets startups that are ready to accelerate market traction, prepare for fundraising, and expand their operations. The platform opens its doors to both DeepTech ventures rooted in major scientific breakthroughs and tech-enabled startups leveraging digital products or software to tackle market challenges.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for both the Pre-Seed and Seed tracks must fulfill the following requirements:
- Build a technology designed to solve a demonstrated problem on the African continent.
- Be legally incorporated in an African country.
- Operate primarily within Africa.
- Demonstrate professional proficiency in English.
- Feature a deeply committed founding team capable of active participation in all program milestones.
- Submit a complete and accurate application before the specified deadline.
Key Dates and Schedule
The selection and rollout of the tracks proceed according to the following timeline:
- Outreach Phase: Running from June until the end of July.
- Selection Phase: Taking place from mid-August until mid-September.
- Onboarding Phase: Set for the end of September for the Pre-Seed Track, and October for the Seed Track.
- Program Duration: The Pre-Seed Track runs for a duration of 6 months, while the Seed Track spans 12 months.
1% Give Back Mechanism
Participation in the platform’s final cohorts is supported by a 1% mission-aligned equity contribution executed via an uncapped, post-money SWEAT SAFE note issued to Openers Sweat LLC. This passive minority holding recognizes the high-level mentorship and market resources provided, ensuring that all future liquidity proceeds are directly reinvested into sustaining the African entrepreneurial ecosystem. For Pre-Seed applicants, this mechanism triggers right from the start of participation. For Seed applicants, the mechanism applies exclusively if they are selected to advance into the second phase of the program.
