“sYouth” is a unique storytelling challenge by youth, for youth, across Egypt’s governorates. Participants are invited to share their personal stories and local solutions related to climate change and its impact on daily life. Organized under the Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Initiative (DEDI), this challenge is implemented by the UNDP in Egypt in collaboration with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), ITIDA, and CREATIVA Innovation Hubs.

Challenge Overview
The “sYouth” challenge seeks to amplify young voices by connecting personal narratives with broader environmental issues. Participants can use various creative formats—such as short videos, vlogs, podcasts, or digital art—to highlight local innovations and climate resilience. Shortlisted candidates will undergo capacity-building programs, including digital learning and online training sessions, to refine their storytelling and impact.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Open to youth between 18 and 35 years old.
- Residency: Must be a resident in any Egyptian governorate.
- Participation Type: Individual applications only.
- Commitment: If shortlisted, participants must commit to completing online learning modules and capacity-building sessions.

About the Organizers
The Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Initiative (DEDI) (2025–2028) acts as a “living lab” to support youth-led innovation and the green transition. It is a cross-cultural space for dialogue on climate and peace, implemented by UNDP Egypt and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Partners include ITIDA and TIEC, which drive ICT and entrepreneurship growth in Egypt.
