The Arab Administrative Development Organization, affiliated with the League of Arab States, has issued recommendations from its first Arab Forum on Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship, held from August 6 to 8, 2026, in Tangier, Morocco.
The forum brought together policymakers, experts, entrepreneurs, academics and specialists to examine how artificial intelligence can support startups, strengthen entrepreneurship and develop the skills needed for a changing digital economy.
Discussions covered generative AI, future skills, Arab experiences in the sector, and the legal and ethical challenges linked to the rapid development of these technologies, according to the announcement.
Participants recommended developing Arab and African smart cities using AI, trusted data and open models to help investors and decision-makers identify opportunities and make more effective investment decisions.
They also called for an Arab-African AI model that reflects regional linguistic, cultural and economic needs, as well as a sovereign Arab-African center for investment, data and AI. The proposed center would collect, analyze and process economic and investment data from trusted sources using Arab and African expertise.
The organization said the recommendations should be translated into practical initiatives and projects to strengthen Arab-African cooperation and use AI and entrepreneurship to support investment and sustainable development.
