The Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) has launched the second edition of its Digital Innovation Awards, recognising digital solutions serving individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises, and corporates in Bahrain.

The 2026 awards introduce an assessment framework that evaluates entries based on their primary customer segment, the challenge addressed and the solution’s ability to deliver practical, measurable results.

The awards feature three categories: Digital Innovation Award for Individuals, SMEs and Corporates. The initiative is supported by Bahrain Bourse, BBK, National Bank of Bahrain and SICO Bank as Platinum Sponsors; Bank ABC, Gulf International Bank and Khaleeji Bank as Gold Sponsors; and Al Salam Bank, GFH Bank and National Bank of Kuwait as Silver Sponsors.

According to BAB, a dedicated organising committee developed the awards framework, while a separate independent judging panel of international executives and sector professionals will evaluate entries and select the winners.

The awards ceremony will take place on October 8 as part of Fintech Forward 2026, a two-day financial technology event hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board and supported by the Central Bank of Bahrain and Bahrain FinTech Bay.
