Anthropic is preparing for an IPO that could match or surpass SpaceX’s record-setting share sale, according to Bloomberg, potentially making it one of the largest public offerings in history.
The Claude developer has confidentially filed for the listing and could file publicly as soon as the end of August. The offering’s size remains under discussion. SpaceX raised $75B in its IPO, with the total reaching $86.2B after an overallotment option was exercised.
Anthropic’s latest private financing valued the company at $965B after it raised $65B in May, according to the source. The New York Times separately reported that the IPO could raise more than $100B and value the company at around $2T.
The company’s annual revenue run rate reportedly rose from about $9B at the end of 2025 to more than $65B by the end of July. Anthropic is projecting revenue of $190B to $200B in 2028, while documents seen by Bloomberg show a net loss of nearly $42B in 2025.
Anthropic is also arranging a revolving credit facility expected to exceed its roughly $10B target. The company is reportedly considering a dual-class share structure that would give CEO Dario Amodei and other co-founders greater voting power, while preserving its public-benefit governance model.
