Bahrain FinTech Bay (BFB) is broadening its role from connecting Bahrain’s fintech ecosystem to developing products and services for financial institutions and technology companies.
Announced on the first day of Fintech Forward 2026, the new direction includes AI products and services for financial institutions, developed with technology partners. These offerings will complement BFB’s AI training, which covers both leadership strategy and practical applications for teams.
BFB also plans to expand access to technology and digital infrastructure, including Google Cloud infrastructure, to help fintech companies build, test and scale solutions from Bahrain, according to the announcement.
Its subsidiary, Innovate for Bahrain (I4BH), will focus on developing AI products and services for companies outside financial services. The platform runs AI-focused innovation programs and startup accelerators in partnership with government, corporations and academia.
The first partnerships and agreements under the expanded strategy were signed during Fintech Forward 2026, hosted by Bahrain EDB and supported by the Central Bank of Bahrain, Tamkeen, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and BFB.
BFB said it will continue helping fintech companies establish in Bahrain, expand across the GCC and scale across MENA, while supporting digital transformation in financial services.
