Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development is supporting 11 UAE small and medium-sized enterprises participating in the third edition of Global Food Week 2026 in Abu Dhabi from October 6 to 8.
The participating businesses operate across agri-tech, bakery equipment and technologies, baked goods and confectionery, and traditional Emirati food. According to the announcement, the event gives them an opportunity to showcase their products, connect with potential buyers and partners, and explore new commercial opportunities. Some will also lead workshops for visitors and sector professionals.
The fund is also signing a memorandum of understanding with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, the event’s strategic partner. The agreement will cover joint initiatives in capacity building, entrepreneurship, investment, knowledge exchange and support for entrepreneurs and farmers.
It will also enable agricultural startups and innovators to access proof-of-concept projects, pilots, field trials and market opportunities, alongside training, advisory, financing and innovation services. The partnership is intended to strengthen support for entrepreneurship and innovation across Abu Dhabi’s food and agriculture sectors, the company said.
