Bahrain’s WSSL and Dilmune Cloud Crowned Winners at 25th StartUp Bahrain Pitch

The 25th edition of StartUp Bahrain Pitch, a key event for the Kingdom’s startup scene backed by Tamkeen, has concluded with laundry POS platform WSSL and cloud management startup Dilmune Cloud taking the top two spots. The event, supported by the SME Development Board, provides a platform for Bahraini entrepreneurs to present their ventures to a panel of local and regional investors.

The Pitch Competition

The event showcased four early-stage Bahraini startups, each presenting a distinct tech-based solution. The competition featured:

WSSL: The first-place winner, WSSL offers a point-of-sale platform designed to organize and streamline operations for laundry service providers.

Dilmune Cloud: Securing second place, this startup provides an integrated cloud management platform for hosting, storage, and application management through a unified dashboard.

Hawaa: A logistics platform connecting users with freelance drivers for delivery services.

Mustashar: A legal-tech platform that links users with lawyers for services like company formation, contract drafting, and legal consultations, offering flexible payment options.

The Judging Panel

The startups pitched to a panel of seasoned investors and ecosystem experts from the region. The judges included Hamad AlFahad, CEO and Managing Partner at TAJAWUZ; Sara Al-Sharif, Investment Manager at BeVentures; Laith Al-Khaili, Associate Partner at Mumtalakat; and Hasan Haider, Founder and Managing Partner at Plus VC. The panel evaluated the pitches and provided direct feedback to help the founders refine their business models.

Founder Reactions

Basel Faisal, representing the first-place winner WSSL, commented on the achievement, stating, “We are proud to achieve first place in this edition of StartUp Bahrain Pitch. This win motivates us to continue developing our project and strengthening our market presence. The participation was a valuable opportunity to benefit from the feedback of experts and investors.”

Osama Al-Jammal from Dilmune Cloud expressed his pride in securing the runner-up position. He noted that the event was a valuable chance to connect with entrepreneurs and investors, and he looks forward to using the experience to grow the project’s impact locally and regionally.
