Baladi Map, a free civic platform founded by Lebanese entrepreneur Roy Bou Nassif, has published 74 citizen reports across 35 towns since launching on the web in 2026.
The platform lets residents report potholes, power cuts, waste, water and other local issues in Arabic, English or French. Reports can be submitted with or without an account and remain publicly visible as they move through stages from “Submitted” to “Fixed.” Users can also support other reports, helping highlight problems affecting more residents.
According to the platform, more than 160 residents have backed reports, while one issue has already been confirmed as fixed. Baladi Map said it is also in partnership discussions with municipalities to improve the link between public reports and repairs.
The service is free and non-partisan, with no advertising, paid tiers or data sales. Published images are reviewed by a human moderator and automatically blurred to hide faces and license plates.
Baladi Map’s iOS app is currently under App Store review, while its Android app is being tested on Google Play. Both will include status notifications and offline reporting, designed for Lebanon’s uneven connectivity.
