Beyond Ventures and Tamkin have signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Aleppo to establish the National Entrepreneurship and Artificial Intelligence Center in Syria, with support from the Aleppo Investment Authority.
The center will be located on the university campus and is intended to help turn ideas into scalable technology startups. Planned facilities and programs include coworking spaces, artificial intelligence and advanced technology labs, incubation and acceleration programs, hackathons, workshops and events.
The initiative also aims to connect local talent with capital, creating a setting where students can develop early prototypes, founders can find partners, and small companies can meet potential investors.
According to the announcement, the partners have already developed the project’s vision, plan, financial studies, operating structure, initial designs and program concepts. They are now seeking interest from architects, engineers, developers, AI and data specialists, investors, mentors, academics, designers, media professionals and Syrians abroad who want to contribute.
The project is still at an early stage, and the organizers are inviting people interested in helping build the center to register their interest.
