Companies Creating Change (C3) is deepening its work to connect Egyptian startups with regional investors, corporations and government partners, as Egypt’s innovation ecosystem continues to attract growing interest.
In an interview with Arab Finance, C3 founder and Global Ventures Senior Partner Medea Nocentini said the platform has supported more than 530 impact-driven startups across the Middle East and Africa since 2012, with about 90% still operating. Its focus areas include climate, healthcare, education, financial inclusion, agriculture and digital infrastructure.
Egypt has become a key market for C3. More than 50 Egyptian startups have gone through its programs, while parent company Global Ventures has made 11 direct investments in the country and maintains more than 10 partnerships with local venture capital firms, angel networks and investors.
C3’s work in Egypt includes climate and impact programs, with Egyptian founders making up the majority of participants in its Impact Accelerators. The company said its C3 Net Zero Catalyst Program has supported 18 growth-stage ClimateTech startups across MENA, whose cohort companies have collectively raised $5M, while its 2025–2026 Impact Accelerator cohort has raised $2.5M.
Nocentini highlighted AI-enabled climate innovation, fintech, digital health, future-of-work solutions and advanced manufacturing as areas with strong regional potential. She also stressed that startups need customers, strategic partnerships and cross-border networks, alongside capital, to scale across MENA.
