The Faculty of Education at Capital University has trained 50 students in entrepreneurship and small business management through an online workshop hosted on Microsoft Teams.

Organized by the university’s Adult Education Center, the session introduced students to entrepreneurship, the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, and the process of selecting and assessing a viable business idea. It was held as part of the faculty’s community service and environmental development program ahead of the 2026–2027 academic year.

The workshop also covered market needs, target customers, business model components, funding sources, creative thinking, innovation and the role of technology in developing new ventures. Students were introduced to planning, marketing, management and risk management fundamentals.

The session was led by Mohamed Salama, a professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. It combined practical examples with discussions, allowing participants to explore how business concepts could be applied to real startup situations.

The university said the initiative supports broader efforts to strengthen students’ innovation and creative thinking skills alongside their academic education and better prepare them for the job market.
