Dubai-based agentic AI startup Ayan has raised AED 2.2 million ($600K) in pre-seed funding from strategic global business angels, according to the company. The round will support its expansion beyond the Middle East and North Africa.
Ayan’s platform monitors how AI assistants describe brands and then acts on those insights across product pages, pre-launch campaigns and sales advisers’ phones. It also measures how those changes affect subsequent AI responses.
The company said its system has analysed millions of data points and currently serves more than 50 brands across MENA, Europe and North America. Customer questions asked at retail counters are fed back into the platform, helping identify what content or guidance should be updated next.
Ayan was founded by Pablo Charron, its CEO, and Chakir El Messaoudi, its chief growth officer. The company also announced that Vincent Carvalho has joined as a founding board member, while Christian Pedersen has come on board as an adviser.
The funding comes as AI startups attract a growing share of venture capital in the region. MAGNiTT data cited in the announcement shows AI and AI-enabled companies raised $678 million in MENA during the first half of 2026, with the UAE accounting for 93% of that total.
