The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is partnering with the Ministry of Economy and Tourism to organise Entrepreneurship Week across six higher education institutions from October 19 to 22.
Held under the UAE Entrepreneurs Capital initiative, the programme will showcase businesses and ideas created by students and graduates, while connecting them with organisations supporting startups and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Each participating institution will host project exhibitions over two days. The programme will include opening sessions, project presentations, discussions on intellectual property protection and trademarks, and information on services offered through the National Programme for Small and Medium Enterprises.
Other activities will cover entrepreneurial success stories, freelancing and peer knowledge exchange. The week will conclude with recognition for outstanding projects, according to the announcement.
The participating institutions will identify and classify student and graduate-led projects and share the relevant data with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Graduate-founded companies must be fully owned by their founders to qualify for support under the initiative.
