Dubai Land Department (DLD) has launched an AI-powered platform designed to automate property registration and related processes for real estate developers.
The Initial Registration platform combines project registration, real estate transaction registration and escrow account management in one digital system. It can read documents including Emirates IDs, passports and sales contracts, extract relevant information and populate application fields automatically.
Eligible transactions can also be registered and approved automatically upon submission. The platform guides developers through the required process, while allowing users to add missing information without restarting an application.
A Project 360 feature provides a consolidated view of projects and property portfolios, including unit status, escrow accounts, financial data and project records. Early warning indicators are intended to flag potential issues sooner.
Developers can manage multiple companies and projects through one account, with permissions separating transaction submission and review roles.
Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehi, CEO of DLD’s Real Estate Regulatory Agency, said the launch would support greater efficiency in the sector. The department said the platform is also intended to improve transparency, governance and ease of doing business as Dubai expands its use of AI across government operations.
