Investing in people and building a culture of continuous learning will be central to the UAE’s next phase of growth, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said on Friday.
Speaking at a gathering at Union House in Dubai, the UAE Vice President and Prime Minister said the country’s strategic priority is to develop people who can turn knowledge into achievement and respond to global change by continuously building their skills.
Sheikh Mohammed also met winners of the 10th Arab Reading Challenge, which attracted more than 830,000 students from across the Arab world, as well as top graduates of the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences.
During the gathering, Minister of Education Sarah Al Amiri presented the ministry’s strategy, which is aligned with the UAE leadership’s vision and government priorities. It aims to create a more flexible, efficient and sustainable education system while improving learning outcomes and strengthening the country’s position among leading global education systems.
According to the announcement, preparations are also underway for the new academic year, with a focus on maintaining education standards. The emphasis on education, skills and knowledge reflects the UAE’s broader focus on human capital as a foundation for future economic and technological development.
