The fourth edition of Egypt’s Entrepreneurship Sector Annual Diagnostic Report Summit is taking place in El Gouna, Red Sea Governorate, from September 10 to 12, bringing together more than 500 government representatives, investors, founders and ecosystem experts.
Red Sea Governor Walid El-Borai attended the summit alongside Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Hassan El-Khatib, Planning and Economic Development Minister Ahmed Rustom, and Supply and Internal Trade Minister Sherif Farouk.
Held under the theme “Data × Innovation: Reimagining Egypt’s Entrepreneurship Landscape,” the summit is examining the state of the country’s startup ecosystem, growth and investment opportunities, and how data, technology and innovation can help startups expand and compete.
The agenda includes the launch of the 2026 annual report on Egypt’s entrepreneurship sector, a ministerial session on growth, capital, production and economic stability, and discussions on fintech and financial participation. A session will also examine Swvl’s listing, restructuring and business model rebuild.
The second day will focus on private capital, startup expansion, investment opportunities in sectors including food and beverages and supply chains, and the role of new fund managers. The closing day will cover logistics infrastructure, startup commitments and a number of planned partnerships and initiatives.
El-Borai said the summit provides a platform for dialogue and cooperation between government, the private sector and entrepreneurs, according to the announcement.
