Education for Employment Tunisia (EFE-Tunisie) brought together public institutions, financial organisations, startup support groups and green entrepreneurs at the Sheraton Tunis for Green Finance Day.

The event focused on practical ways to improve access to inclusive green finance, strengthen partnerships and support the growth of green businesses in Tunisia. Its programme covered innovative financing mechanisms, value-chain development, and the regulatory and institutional frameworks needed to expand sustainable finance.

Organisers also announced the launch of a national working group on green finance. Its first session focused on governance and coordination among ecosystem stakeholders, with the aim of developing more sustainable and inclusive financing tools.

The event included contributions from entrepreneurship support organisations, startups and green business founders, as well as the signing of memoranda of understanding and partnership agreements. It also featured a practical session for organisations working in business support and finance.

Green Finance Day was held under the Inclusive Green Finance to Support Green Entrepreneurship in Tunisia project, implemented by EFE-Tunisie and SPARK through the European Union-funded Green Forward programme. The initiative also involves the Danish Chamber of Commerce through its DAPP Youth Inclusive Entrepreneurship Programme, with technical cooperation from MedWaves.
