Egypt registered around 26,000 new companies during the first half of 2026, a 20% increase from the same period last year, according to data from the country’s Cabinet Media Center.
The companies recorded issued capital of approximately EGP97.5 billion, highlighting stronger investment activity and a wider base of newly established businesses, according to the announcement.
The growth comes as Egypt works to simplify company formation procedures, improve investment services and strengthen the business environment. The government says these efforts are intended to attract more investment, support production expansion and create jobs across the country.
