Egypt’s AI Scene Gets a Boost as RiseUp, A15, and BitRoot Launch NVIDIA SIGNALS

4 Min Read

RiseUp, in partnership with A15 and BitRoot, has officially launched the first NVIDIA SIGNALS event in Egypt. The inaugural session, held at the Grand Egyptian Museum, marks a significant move to connect the country’s AI founders with NVIDIA’s extensive global startup ecosystem, resources, and technical teams.

Quick Facts

  • NVIDIA SIGNALS program launched in Egypt.
  • A collaboration between RiseUp, A15, and BitRoot.
  • Connects founders to NVIDIA’s Inception network.

Bridging the Gap for Egyptian AI Builders

The initiative aims to address a critical need within Egypt’s growing technology sector: access. While local talent is on the rise, founders often face hurdles in connecting with global-standard tools, specialized investors, and international networks. This partnership is designed to act as a direct bridge, closing that gap.

“Egypt’s AI ecosystem is growing rapidly. Through NVIDIA SIGNALS, we’re helping founders access the knowledge, partnerships, and opportunities they need to compete globally,” stated Abdelhameed Sharara, Founder and CEO of RiseUp.

The program offers Egyptian entrepreneurs a pathway to NVIDIA’s technical expertise, GPU resources, strategic partnerships, and venture capital connections.

Inside the Inaugural Session

Led by Basil Fateen, NVIDIA’s Head of Startups and VC for the Middle East and Africa, the first event provided founders with insights into emerging AI trends and the mechanics of the NVIDIA Inception programme. An open Q&A session detailed the benefits of membership, including GPU credits, technical training, and go-to-market support.

“We’re seeing strong momentum from AI founders across the Middle East and Africa, and Egypt is home to a growing startup community applying AI to meaningful challenges,” said Fateen. “By bringing NVIDIA SIGNALS to Egypt, we’re helping founders access the technology, expertise and global NVIDIA Inception ecosystem they need to accelerate development and turn ambitious ideas into real-world impact.”

The session also featured a panel with founders already active in the ecosystem, including Omar Mansour (CTO, Intella), Omar Abdelwahed (Co-Founder and CEO, Valify Solutions), Moustafa Menessy (Co-Founder and CTO, Paymob), and Farah Osman (CEO & COO, Bluworks).

A Recurring Platform for Growth

This event is not a one-off. It marks the beginning of a recurring series of activities in Egypt designed to consistently support the AI community. Future sessions plan to involve more NVIDIA partners, showcase companies building with NVIDIA tools, and expand the network to reach more builders across the region.

The collaboration between RiseUp, A15, BitRoot, and NVIDIA is built on the idea that the technical capability in Egypt is already present. The missing piece has been consistent access, which NVIDIA SIGNALS now aims to provide.
