Egypt’s entrepreneurship ecosystem has five core strengths that could support startup growth and attract new investment, according to the “Egypt’s Position in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Indicators 2026” report.

Issued by the Egypt Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center (EEIC), which operates under the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, the report identified access to finance, skilled talent, market scale, innovation efficiency and a improving policy environment as the ecosystem’s main advantages.

Egypt scored 7 out of 10 for access to finance, according to the Global Startup Ecosystem Report. It also ranked among the world’s top 10 countries for access to highly skilled talent at competitive cost.

The report described the size of Egypt’s market and its expansion potential as a structural advantage. Egypt recorded 52.7 points on the Business Environment for Innovation index, while its innovation outputs exceeded its inputs, indicating relative efficiency in converting resources into innovation outcomes.

The report also highlighted improvements in entrepreneurship policy, supported by tax incentives and regulatory reforms. The EEIC said these strengths provide a diverse base for developing Egypt’s startup environment, supporting company growth and strengthening innovation and competitiveness.
