Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) is partnering with Alexandria Governorate to raise financial awareness and support innovation and entrepreneurship in the governorate.
The two sides will hold the “Capacity Building for Development: Know How to Benefit” conference on Thursday, focusing on non-bank financial activities and how Alexandria’s businesses and residents can access them safely and effectively.
FRA Chairman Islam Azzam is scheduled to meet Alexandria Governor Ayman Attia, lawmakers, business representatives, chambers of commerce, companies and sector associations to discuss growth opportunities, new regulatory decisions and ways to expand non-bank financial services in the governorate.
The programme will also include an open meeting at Alexandria University on developments in capital markets, investment funds, insurance and non-bank finance. A public exhibition at Alexandria Stadium will connect residents with providers of insurance, SME finance, consumer finance, leasing, factoring and real estate finance.
The event will further include a financial literacy session covering fintech-enabled services, fraud prevention and sound financial decision-making. The National Council for Women will host a separate session under the “I invest” initiative, introducing women to investment and financing tools and pathways supporting entrepreneurship.
