Emirates NBD has launched a free AI travel assistant in the UAE through a partnership with Visa and Tripadvisor, extending the bank’s digital services into travel planning.
The tool uses a conversational interface to recommend destinations and itineraries based on users’ preferences, budgets and travel styles. Its suggestions draw on more than 1 billion Tripadvisor reviews and 8 million listings, with more detailed customisation available for 15 destinations popular with UAE travellers.
The assistant also highlights Visa cardholder offers, including hotel discounts and car rental benefits. Users do not need an Emirates NBD account or login to access the service, which is available in English through the bank’s website and a dedicated Tripadvisor domain.
The company said the tool reflects travel planning habits in the UAE, where the average traveller plans seven trips a year and some spend up to three months researching a trip.
Rohit Garg, Emirates NBD’s Group Head of Retail Products and Chief Digital Officer of Retail Banking and Wealth Management, said the launch supports the bank’s focus on AI-driven digital services. Visa UAE Country Manager Salima Gutieva said the initiative combines AI and partnerships to make travel planning more seamless.
