In a move to foster economic resilience in Marib, Yemen, 250 low-income families have completed an intensive training program on entrepreneurship and income-generating project management. The initiative, led by the Estijabah Foundation for Humanitarian Action and Relief, aims to equip participants with the skills to build sustainable livelihoods amidst challenging economic conditions.

Building Resilience Through Strategic Partnerships
The program was implemented by the Estijabah Foundation in partnership with Solidarités International and with support from The Crisis and Support Centre (CDCS). It operates under the wider “Resilient Agriculture and Comprehensive Support (RAISE)” project, designed to bolster early recovery for the most at-risk households in the Marib governorate.
During the closing ceremony, Majd Khalifa, Director of Solidarités International’s Marib office, highlighted the organization’s commitment to supporting income-generating projects. He stressed their importance in driving economic recovery for families impacted by the consequences of war and difficult living conditions.
Mohammed Ali Salim, Director of the Estijabah Foundation’s Marib office, praised the crucial role of Solidarités International in backing development projects. He described the partnership as an effective model for integration between international and local organizations to serve target communities.
Skills for Sustainable Income
Over the course of eight days, participants received practical knowledge and skills in planning and managing small-scale enterprises. The training was structured to provide them with the tools needed to establish sustainable sources of income and improve their economic standing.
The program concluded with a ceremony honoring the training and administrative staff, as well as standout trainees, recognizing their efforts and commitment to the initiative’s success.
