Doha-listed investment group Estithmar Holding has secured a turnkey contract worth more than QAR 500 million ($137M) to build MEEZA’s latest data centre in Qatar.
The project will be delivered by Estithmar’s contracting arm, Elegancia Contracting and Industries, across two construction phases. The facility is designed to support hyperscale cloud providers and high-density AI workloads, adding capacity to Qatar’s digital infrastructure.
Under the turnkey agreement, Elegancia will oversee the project from site preparation and civil works through mechanical and electrical systems, ICT, security, testing, commissioning and final handover. Several units across its industrial ecosystem will contribute, including Elegancia Data Center, Elegancia Steel and Consolidated Engineering Systems Company.
The facility is expected to support Qatar Science & Technology Park’s role as a technology and innovation hub. The deal comes as MEEZA expands its footprint in the country. The company operates five certified data centres with a combined capacity of 18MW and has outlined plans to quadruple capacity over the next four years.
