In a move to strengthen Palestine’s green and circular economy, Flow Accelerator and SPARK recently convened key ecosystem players in Ramallah for the “Partnership Lab 1: Ideas in Motion.” The event, part of the EU-funded Green Forward Programme, brought together Business Support Organizations (BSOs) and innovation enablers to foster concrete collaboration on green initiatives.
Quick Facts
- Event: Partnership Lab 1: Ideas in Motion
- Location: Ramallah, Palestine
- Participants: 33 BSOs and innovation enablers
- Goal: Foster collaboration for a green and circular economy
A Collaborative Push for a Green Economy
The Partnership Lab gathered 33 participants from a range of Palestinian BSOs and innovation enablers, alongside representatives from Flow Accelerator, SPARK, and Envision. The primary goal was to create a structured environment where organizations could move beyond networking to actively identify shared challenges, explore opportunities, and build partnerships aligned with green innovation priorities.
The event featured a thematic approach designed to facilitate focused dialogue and structured co-creation, aiming to build a more resilient and collaborative green ecosystem in Palestine.
Thematic Focus on Key Green Sectors
Discussions were organized around five key thematic tables reflecting critical areas of the green economy: Research and Development, Green Finance and Green Jobs, Market Access, Sustainable Industries, and Innovation and Technology, with a focus on AI and Entrepreneurship.
Six BSOs participating in the Green Forward Programme were in attendance, including the Economic and Social Development Center of Palestine (ESDC), Palestine Green Building Council (PGBC), Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rural Women’s Development Society (RWDS), Businesswomen Forum (BWF), and INNOPARK. Participants at each table exchanged ideas and experiences to identify potential areas for joint initiatives.
From Discussion to Actionable Ideas
A key segment of the lab was the “ideas pilot pitching” session, where each thematic table presented key insights and emerging partnership concepts. This session outlined possible directions for future joint projects and cooperation among the participating organizations.
Flow Accelerator and SPARK confirmed they will continue to work with the organizations to support the development of the collaboration ideas formed during the event under the wider Green Forward Programme.
