Egypt-founded customer loyalty startup Gameball has added LvlUp Ventures to its Pre-Series A funding round, in an investment led through the firm’s newly established MENA Global Investment Hub in Dubai.
Gameball provides loyalty, gamification and retention tools for consumer brands, using AI agents to analyse transaction data, identify churn risks and automate rewards and customer engagement workflows. The platform integrates with commerce and marketing tools including Shopify, Klaviyo, Omnisend and Attentive.
According to the announcement, Gameball serves more than 3,000 businesses across over 70 countries and processes more than $14B in annualised gross merchandise value. The company also reports 130% net revenue retention across its merchant base.
Its customers include Virgin Megastores, Lebara and U.S. Polo. Gameball was co-founded by Ahmed Khairy, Ahmed El Assy and Omar Alfar.
LvlUp Ventures said it plans to support Gameball’s expansion through North American enterprise and mid-market channels, regional networks in the Gulf, and assistance with hiring, go-to-market strategy and business development. Gameball said the next phase will focus on expanding into more markets and strengthening its AI capabilities, including a push into the US.
