General Assembly Bahrain has signed a memorandum of understanding with Innovate for Bahrain, a platform operated by Bahrain FinTech Bay, to expand collaboration on digital skills, entrepreneurship and innovation support.
The partnership will introduce joint initiatives for entrepreneurs, innovators, students and professionals, including workshops, industry events, knowledge-sharing sessions and networking opportunities. The activities are designed to build practical digital and entrepreneurial skills while connecting emerging talent with industry experts and employers.
General Assembly will also provide mentoring and professional guidance led by industry practitioners through Innovate for Bahrain initiatives. Its involvement will include the Women in Tech Program, which runs from March to September, with a session focused on user experience design.
According to the announcement, the partnership aims to strengthen links between employers and emerging talent, support employment opportunities and help organisations access qualified professionals.
Ahlam Oun, Director of General Assembly Middle East Academies, said more than 400 of the academy’s graduates work at startup companies, while other graduates have launched more than 20 startups and ventures. Suzy Alzeerah, Chief Operating Officer of Bahrain FinTech Bay, said the agreement would help expand initiatives supporting Bahraini talent and the development of innovative businesses.
General Assembly’s Bahrain programs, supported by Tamkeen, cover software engineering, data analytics, UX design and emerging technologies.
