Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship (GIE) has partnered with UAE-based SpacePoint to develop initiatives focused on space technology, satellite development, innovation and technical education.
The collaboration will combine GIE’s experience in innovation and entrepreneurship programs with SpacePoint’s practical expertise in space technology and satellite education. According to the announcement, the partners will explore training programs, workshops, innovation challenges and hands-on learning experiences for students, engineers and innovators.
SpacePoint’s SatKit program gives students and STEM enthusiasts practical exposure to satellite systems and components, allowing them to participate in their development and connect classroom learning with real-world applications.
The partnership is intended to support capacity building and help prepare a new generation for opportunities in the space and advanced technology sectors. The two organisations also plan to explore further SpaceTech initiatives that connect learning, technical application and innovation.
Eng. Tarek Salah El-Din, CEO of GIE, said the partnership will expand the organisation’s innovation ecosystem into emerging sectors, including space technology, while creating opportunities for young people and innovators to build practical capabilities.
