Google Launches AI Study Tools Across Search and Gemini

2 Min Read

Google has introduced a range of AI-powered study tools across Search and Gemini, including interactive visuals, 3D simulations, custom quizzes and a dedicated learning hub.

In Search, students can generate interactive explanations for complex subjects. A search for “pH scale,” for example, can produce a visual overview, while follow-up prompts can create more tailored experiences, such as plotting citrus fruits on the scale.

Search can also create practice quizzes across subjects including science, mathematics, humanities and foreign languages. Students will soon be able to use Lens to upload photos of their work and receive explanations, mistake checks and guidance. They can also upload files such as PDFs, documents, slides and handwritten notes to generate study summaries.

Gemini users can launch multi-step research reports in Gemini Live and continue the discussion by voice once the report is ready. The company said Gemini can also create interactive 3D simulations, including models that users can rotate and zoom into.

Google is bringing these tools together in a new Gemini learning hub, where students can create study notebooks, make flashcards and take practice quizzes. The launch is part of Google’s broader push to position Gemini as a study assistant as it competes with AI and education-focused platforms.
