HUMAIN Taps Qualcomm For 200MW AI Infrastructure To Build Global AI Hub

4 Min Read

In a landmark move set to accelerate Saudi Arabia’s position as a global technology leader, HUMAIN, the Public Investment Fund’s (PIF) national artificial intelligence company, has announced a transformative collaboration with semiconductor giant Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. The partnership will see the deployment of advanced AI infrastructure in the Kingdom, aimed at offering global AI inferencing services and creating the world’s first fully optimized edge-to-cloud hybrid AI ecosystem.

A Landmark Collaboration for a Global AI Hub

Announced ahead of the 9th Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference, this initiative solidifies a strategic agreement made at the US-Saudi Investment Forum in May 2025. Under the program, HUMAIN is targeting the deployment of 200 megawatts of capacity starting in 2026, leveraging Qualcomm’s newly launched AI200 and AI250 rack solutions. This massive infrastructure is designed to deliver high-performance AI inference services, enabling enterprises and government bodies in the Kingdom and beyond to harness AI at an unprecedented scale with an industry-leading total cost of ownership (TCO).

Powering the Future with Edge-to-Cloud Hybrid AI

This initiative goes beyond just building data centers; it aims to create a blueprint for national AI capability. The collaboration will integrate HUMAIN’s proprietary Saudi-developed AI models, including the advanced Arabic multimodal large language model ALLaM, with Qualcomm’s cutting-edge AI platforms. This fusion of localized AI software with global hardware leadership will deliver tailored, customer-specific solutions that address the unique needs of organizations across the region. The goal is to establish a seamless, end-to-end hybrid AI service that operates efficiently from the data center to edge devices.

Strategic Vision for Saudi Arabia’s Tech Ecosystem

The partnership represents a significant step forward in diversifying the Kingdom’s economy and developing its AI and semiconductor ecosystem. By combining HUMAIN’s regional infrastructure and full-stack AI expertise with Qualcomm’s global leadership in semiconductor innovation, the collaboration is laying the groundwork for a new wave of AI-driven innovation. This move follows HUMAIN’s recent unveiling of its Horizon Pro AI laptop, which also integrates the ALLaM model, signaling a cohesive strategy to build a globally competitive AI hardware and software stack originating from Saudi Arabia.

“With Qualcomm’s world-class AI infrastructure solutions, we’re shaping the foundation of the Kingdom’s AI future,” said Tareq Amin, Chief Executive Officer at HUMAIN. “Together, we will enable Saudi Arabia to lead the next wave of global AI and semiconductors innovation.”
