The program provides startups with up to EGP 480,000 in direct, non-refundable funding to cover operational, marketing, and legal expenses. Uniquいきely, this financial support is offered on a 0% equity basis, allowing founders to retain full ownership of their companies.
This financial backing is complemented by a substantial technical grant: $10,000 in AWS cloud credits. This allows emerging companies to build and scale their applications and platforms with significantly reduced infrastructure costs. In addition to capital and credits, the program provides fully-furnished office spaces and co-working areas with high-speed internet, creating a stable and productive work environment.
Beyond Cairo: ITIDA’s Virtual Incubation Reaches All Governorates
To ensure equal opportunity and foster growth beyond the capital, ITIDA has introduced a Virtual Incubation program. This initiative allows entrepreneurs across all of Egypt’s governorates to access the full suite of mentorship and guidance services remotely. By removing the need for physical presence in Cairo, the program directly contributes to decentralizing economic development and supporting local tech hubs throughout the country.
The Path to Acceptance: TIEC’s Application and Selection Process
TIEC operates a transparent, quarterly evaluation system to ensure support reaches the most promising ventures. Applications are open year-round through its official website. Key requirements for applicants include having a project directly related to the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector and possessing a ready prototype or a scalable proof-of-concept.
The selection process culminates in a pitching session where founders present their ideas to a committee of industry experts and investors. Successful applicants enter an intensive, year-long incubation cycle at no cost. This includes one-on-one mentorship sessions covering business management and technical skills relevant to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as Artificial Intelligence.
