Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), through the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), has opened applications for the first 2027 cohorts of its StartIT startup incubation programme.

Selected startups will receive EGP 480,000 in funding without giving up equity, along with $10,000 in Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits. The incubation period will run for 12 months, starting on January 1, 2027.

Applications close on October 31, 2026. ITIDA plans to announce the first shortlist on November 12, hold team interviews from November 15 to 26, and announce the winning startups on December 24 following final pitches on December 3.

StartIT is open to projects built around information and communications technology that have an innovative product or service and a working prototype. Idea-stage projects are not eligible. Applicants must address a real or anticipated market need, show commercial potential and have a clear path to growth.

Founding teams must be fully dedicated to the project and cannot be enrolled in another incubator or accelerator during the programme. Legally registered companies must have been established no more than three years before incubation begins.

Beyond funding and cloud credits, the programme offers marketing, legal, technical and human resources support, workspace, mentoring, investor access and opportunities to showcase products locally and internationally. It also provides support for technical hiring through Talents Arena, Sprints and Techie Matters, as well as artificial intelligence advisory and training sessions.
