Jordan has opened a new building for the Jerash Directorate of Industry, Trade and Supply, along with the country’s first entrepreneurship assistance office.

The office, launched in cooperation with the Northern Entrepreneurship Network, will provide entrepreneurs with information and guidance on registering businesses, related legal requirements and the authorities responsible for completing procedures, according to the announcement.

Office director Mais Al-Khayyat said the initiative is designed to give entrepreneurs a clear access point to information and services. It will also support referrals, digital studio services and coordination among entrepreneurship stakeholders in Jerash and Mafraq.

The new directorate building includes facilities designed to improve service delivery, including accessibility features for people with disabilities, safety requirements and guidance signs to help visitors reach the relevant departments.

The opening was attended by local officials and community representatives. Authorities said the new office is intended to support entrepreneurs as they establish and develop businesses, while improving access to public services in Jerash.
