Jordan’s Applied Science University and the Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Innovation Association have signed a cooperation agreement focused on agricultural technology, applied research and support for startups.
The partnership covers entrepreneurship and agricultural innovation, training and capacity building, digital transformation, and the development of entrepreneurial projects. It was signed by university president Dr. Samiha Jarrah and association president Dr. Imad Ayasrah.
According to the association, the agreement aims to connect academic and research capabilities with professional expertise in the agricultural sector, helping turn innovative ideas into practical projects and investment opportunities.
The two sides will collaborate on initiatives involving smart and digital agriculture, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, data analysis, automation, water and energy management, sustainability, food security and agricultural value chains.
The agreement also includes specialised training for university students, agricultural engineers, young people, entrepreneurs and project owners. Topics will include agricultural entrepreneurship, project management, feasibility studies, marketing, agriTech, digital transformation, resource management and investment.
The association said the partnership supports the development of a knowledge- and technology-driven agricultural economy in Jordan. It also aims to help young people create scalable startups and develop solutions to challenges linked to water, climate, food production and sustainability.
