3 Min Read

The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) has opened registration for its ‘Future Entrepreneur’ summer programme, a free initiative designed to instill business and innovation skills in Emirati students from a young age. Themed ‘Their Summer Today. Their Ventures Tomorrow,’ the programme targets students aged 4 to 18 across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.

Quick Facts

  • Targets Emirati students from ages 4 to 18.
  • Free programme focused on entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • Delivered in Arabic and English across three cities.

A Tailored Pathway From Play to Pitch

The programme is structured into four distinct educational cycles, each customized for a specific age group to ensure relevant and practical learning.

For the youngest participants aged 4-6, the Early Learners Cycle uses interactive play and storytelling to introduce the basic concepts of teamwork and entrepreneurship. The Foundational Cycle (7-9 years) builds on this by covering financial literacy, branding, and pricing strategies through hands-on activities like mini-market simulations.

Older students in the Intermediate Cycle (10-14 years) will focus on developing business ideas, building prototypes, and understanding financial modeling. This stage also strengthens their pitching and persuasion abilities. The Advanced Cycle (15-18 years) prepares the oldest cohort for the real world with in-depth business plan development, investor engagement simulations, and career mentoring to get them job-market ready.

Nurturing an Innovative Mindset

Through its curriculum of interactive workshops, business simulations, and mentorship sessions, KFED aims to equip young participants with a durable entrepreneurial mindset. The programme culminates in a graduation ceremony where students receive certificates of participation, marking their first step into a simulated business environment. KFED states its belief that investing in young talent is a cornerstone of building a prosperous and sustainable economy. With limited spots available, interested students are encouraged to apply through the official registration link.
