Lebanon’s Makhzoumi Foundation took part in the closing ceremony of the ENABLE entrepreneurship program, where two of its trainers were recognized after completing the first stage of the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) trainer development program.

Funded by the European Union, ENABLE is implemented by the ILO in partnership with Lebanon’s Ministry of Social Affairs, with Oxfam and AEP Liban also involved. The closing event was held at Voco Hotel and highlighted support provided to entrepreneurs through training and capacity-building initiatives.

The two Makhzoumi Foundation trainers received ILO accreditation under the Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) program. During the initiative, they delivered specialized financial literacy training to beneficiaries, helping entrepreneurs and small business owners strengthen their resource management and financial decision-making skills, according to the announcement.

The foundation said its participation reflects its continued focus on supporting local communities, entrepreneurs and the development of financial and professional skills. The program also highlighted the role of ILO-accredited trainers in creating stronger support systems for small and emerging businesses.
