Masdar City Free Zone in Abu Dhabi has launched a new licensing package designed to make it easier for Emirati citizens to start, own and grow businesses, with a particular focus on supporting Emirati women entrepreneurs.
The UAE Package offers company formation fees starting at AED 5,000. It also includes free support for setting up a professional email address, building a one-page website, creating an initial logo, preparing a company profile and setting up a dedicated LinkedIn page.
Applicants will also have access to business advice and mentoring opportunities, including support networks aimed at connecting Emirati women entrepreneurs.
The initiative was launched during the UAE’s Year of the Family and ahead of Emirati Women’s Day on August 28. According to the announcement, it is intended to strengthen citizens’ participation in high-growth sectors and provide founders with skills, networks and resources to build sustainable businesses.
Masdar City Free Zone hosts more than 2,500 companies from over 90 countries. In 2025, it welcomed around 1,000 new companies, while its total registered company base grew by 36% and employment increased by 33% year on year. The zone supports sectors including clean technology, smart mobility, life sciences, agri-tech and space technology.
