E-commerce and digital trade platforms in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia can apply for a new technical support programme aimed at helping them scale and expand into regional and EU markets.
The call is part of the “Digital Trade and E-Commerce in the MENA Region” programme, co-funded by the European Union and Germany’s BMZ and implemented by GIZ and the International Trade Centre. It focuses on platforms that enable multiple sellers and buyers to conduct online transactions, including product or service marketplaces.
Eligible applicants must be legally registered or licensed in one of the four countries, have shown growth over the past year, and either have cross-border transactions or a clear expansion plan. They must submit registration documents, a platform overview, team details, evidence of past performance and a technical expansion proposal.
Selected platforms will receive technical assistance rather than grants or direct funding. Support may include platform upgrades, payment and logistics integrations, compliance guidance, mentoring, digital marketing advice and help onboarding SMEs and sellers.
Applications close on August 20, 2026. The deadline for questions is July 31, with final decisions expected by September 30. The programme does not specify a fixed number of selected platforms or a set budget per applicant.
