Startups across the Middle East and North Africa raised $365.7 million through 36 funding deals in August, up 30% from the same month in 2025, according to the latest data from Digital Digest. The activity brought total disclosed funding for the third quarter to $456.4 million.
The UAE accounted for $350.7 million, or 96% of the regional total. Saudi Arabia led by deal count with 16 transactions, representing 44.4% of the total, followed by the UAE with 10 deals and Oman with five.
Saudi travel solutions provider Flyakeed secured the largest disclosed round, raising $25.15 million through a combination of equity funding and Murabaha financing. The company serves more than 150 corporate and institutional clients.
UAE fitness technology company Enhance raised $18.2 million in equity and venture debt, while Saudi fintech Nayla secured $18 million to provide Sharia-compliant financing for micro-enterprises. Saudi automotive platform Syarah raised $12 million, and logistics startup Sirdab closed a $10 million Series A round.
Other notable deals included $8.5 million for fintech platform Rabeh, $8 million for AI traffic management company Hazen AI, and $6 million for HR technology startup ZeinHR. Funding also went to startups in gaming, environmental data, legal technology, coffee technology and social commerce.
