Sami bin Ibrahim Al-Hussaini, governor of Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at), met with Riyadh Chamber Chairman Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Obaikan and board members to discuss ways to strengthen the region’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The October 5 meeting focused on improving SMEs’ access to investment opportunities, markets, financing and operational support. Al-Hussaini also presented the national strategy for entrepreneurship and SMEs, including 13 initiatives designed to support business growth, expansion and competitiveness.
According to the announcement, Riyadh has the Kingdom’s largest base of SMEs. Monsha’at said its meetings with chambers of commerce aim to align national efforts, identify challenges facing entrepreneurs and improve access to funding and other business solutions.
Al-Hussaini also met with entrepreneurs and SME owners in the region to hear about their challenges and discuss initiatives supporting startup efficiency and sustainable growth. The meetings are part of Monsha’at’s broader engagement with chambers and entrepreneurs across Saudi Arabia.
