OpenAI Rolls Out GPT-6 With Interactive ChatGPT Features

1 Min Read

OpenAI has begun the global rollout of GPT-6, introducing interactive visuals and on-demand tools in ChatGPT as access expands beyond paid subscribers.

Announced on October 7, 2026, the update adds Intelligent UI, a feature that selects how information should be presented based on a user’s request. ChatGPT can now generate interactive charts, maps, buttons, forms and simple tools within conversations, including savings calculators, bill-splitting apps and games.

The company said GPT-6 also improves response speed by displaying useful information while continuing to process more complex requests. In internal testing, GPT-6 Instant began responding to web-search questions 44% faster on average than GPT-5.6 Instant, according to OpenAI.

OpenAI has also added measures to improve resistance to multi-turn manipulation, handle high-risk requests and reduce unnecessary refusals of legitimate queries.

The rollout began with ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise subscribers. Access started expanding to Free and Go users on October 8, with availability increasing gradually. Paid plans use GPT-6 Sol, while Free and Go users receive GPT-6 Luna.

The update applies to the ChatGPT conversation experience and does not change the models used in Work or Codex.
